The Network

Quintillion is proposing a subsea fiber optic cable network that will enable broadband access to underserved, remote communities from Homer to Unalaska. In December 2019, the U.S. government announced funding as part of its ReConnect Program to expand high-speed broadband service to rural areas. Quintillion is applying for funding to complete the Homer to Unalaska portion of its southwest network – connecting those communities and other villages along the route.
